Creative technologies
Students are able
- to design, implement, evaluate, document, and present an interactive system according to a given topic,
- by knowing and applying specific knowledge from the research field of human–computer interaction (e.g. tangible interaction),
- demonstrating the use of common software and hardware (e.g. microcontrollers, sensors and actuators),
- knowing and applying qualitative research methods,
- to develop creative and human-centered user experiences in the field of human–computer interaction.
The module Creative Technologies focuses on the conception, design, and programming of interactive and physical systems to develop creative and innovative user experiences. The module covers the following key areas:
- Conception and requirements analysis
- Specific forms of interaction (e.g. tangible interaction)
- Metaphors & storytelling
- Prototyping Methods
- Physical computing
- Qualitative research methods
- Documentation (e.g. GitHub, photo, demo video)
- Forms of presentation (e.g. exhibition design)
