Teaching aims : | Students will know simple elements in electrical circuits, the fundamental rules of switch logic, female and male functions, build, formats and special features of digital media and be able to integrate them into standard applications. They will learn how to edit digital media, implement and be able to deal with Boolean equations, truth tables and logic diagrams. They will be able to develop combinational logic systems as well as estimate and judge algorithm performance. | ||
Contents : | Electronic switch elements, logic gates and logic gauges, CMOS technology, encoders and decoders, multiplexers, arithmetic circuits, PROMs, LUTs and their application for graphics manipulation, colours, masks and crossfade techniques. Introduction to cascading style sheets. Time-based media in destructive and non-destructive timeline audio editing. Fundamental concepts of video such as resolution, codecs, the pixel-aspect ratio and frames; fundamental concepts of 3D worlds. | ||
