The project includes three phases.
The first phase starts with a one-week kick off-workshop where the students from THB will meet their fellow students from the foreign university.
First they will form intercultural teams (team building process) and work on the specification of the main project topic (f. e. »Subcultures in urban/ suburban environments«, »national, local, cultural identities«, »German-scottish prejudices«).
Then they will start the field working process with interviewing, shooting, filming, recording to collect their »cross media« material (Film, Photo, Audio, Text documents).
They will collect, share and manage their data collaboratively on a web-based platform (wiki, blog, cms). The platform will function as a work environ-ment as well as a communication and presentation tool.
The second phase starts at the respective home university. They will continue to work in distributed teams and start with the post-production of their materials and data on the web plattform. Above that they will prepare the final phase of the project (field work in Germany, presentations, party etc.).
The third phase will mainly take place at the other university. The students are coming over to work together with their German fellows to finish their projects (1 day for preproduc-tion, 2 days for filming, photographing etc., 1-2 days for postproduction) and present the results as a team at a final event.
