Teaching aims : By building upon knowledge acquired in Networks and Operating System course lectures, students will be introduced to issues in distributed systems. They will be able to assess and evaluate the necessity, advantages and problems of implementing distributed systems.
They will have an overview of the fundamental concepts and technologies of distributed systems. Emphasis is laid on widely used technologies.
Students will develop and implement a distributed application step by step using selected technologies during practical exercises.
