Teaching aims : Students will gain an awareness of the importance of IT security in our society. They will also know the limitations of security measures (Total security is unattainable.) and will have a basic knowledge of IT security based on a selected subject area.

Introduction to cryptography: symmetrical and asymmetrical procedures, authentification, and digital signatures, public key infrastructure, browser security, active content, cookies
